Barfi - Learning From Silence

Barfi came in with that Melodious background music in to me and left a
strong impression in me...

Caution: Don't read this before you watch Barfi... Strictly..

Every Frame teaches you something in this movie.. for that matter Life
also does that. It is just that we don't learn from it.  Anyway when i
watched it second time, i had this time to enjoy it frame by frame..

Sacrifice - You remember that scene where Jilmil shouts from the
window when Barfi was about to leave without finding her.  Shruti had
a choice to keep walking in to Barfi's life there.  But after a moment
of thought she sacrifices her own life for him... It needs the extreme
in you to sacrifice there when you have already left your family only
for this guy and don't know where to go... Shruti you will stay for
this act ever in the books of Love and Sacrifice for the coming
years...

Love - Loving someone thinking whether i will be happy with him/her or
not is something and just being Love is the another thing (is the
ultimate). Thanks to
that something that didnot grow in Jilmil so that she could be natural
and just be the Love she is....

Test for Love:  Everyone has their own ways of testing the intensity
of the Love in their partner, and Barfi too had his own unique way...
And he found the one who did not leave when it mattered and it really
mattered for him in his life.  And the one who left him in the test
actually left him one or
the other way in life too... It reminds me of an incident once in the golden
seashore of Marina Beach when we were beaten up by the fishermen
because of one of my friend's prank..  When a huge crowd was beating
my friend except two of us all our friends ran away.. After the
incident while we were walking back to the bus stop i remember my
friend saying...  "It takes such incidents in life to know who are the
true ones around you.. Who will stay with you when it really matters.."

Silence:  I liked the way the director had used silence to communicate
in Pushpak (Kamal Movie), but Anurag Basu has experimented it in a
different level in Barfi.. Classic is the word i know every expression
communicates, it trains you to understand the character and enjoy them
later...

And what about the frame where he keeps his heart at her feet and she
kicks and then keeps it one level up and offers it with dignity and
care in a saucer with a flower -- then he gets a sincere answer...
Even when rejected he was quick to go back those few minutes in life
and start a new track of friendship altogether.. Man.. big learning..
sometime we have to rewind the clock and start in a fresh way if the
person really matters for us...

Smile:  Remember frame after frame he reminds Shruti to smile when
things go wrong.. Oh it was touching to see how he actually turns in to smile
in such situations and he turns people around him in to smiles...

Was that Dispassion or Ignorance or was he so sad ??? When there is a
girl who has left her whole family and come and finally helping to
save you... he just collects the tickets and walks in to the train...
What a moment for her to decide.. But i think she never had a
choice... but to go with him.. may be she was destined to help him
till the end... Even if God gives you any disabilities he sends these
diamonds like Shruti to take care of you...

You may be dumb,deaf, physically and mentally challenged, but Love
works.. You respond to Love... and you only respond to Love... And how
many such Jilmils would have left us permanently because we took Love
for granted sometime... Barfi was lucky to get her back.. But We may
not be.....

So
Start Loving....
Expressing Yourself...
Rewind the clocks to forgive someone or forgive yourself..
Identify and be aware in the moments where God shows you the really
ones who really matter and who will stay with you when it really
matters..
Be Cautious not to lose anyone on the way due to Ignorance or arrogance..
Never let go off a chance to Sacrifice, for that takes the Love to the
next level...
And enjoy the Silence in Life.. and the Life in the Silence....
Don't Forget to Smile when things go wrong.. for it is not easy to
smile at that time...


Communicate to the whole world... with Silence.. With Love.. With
Sacrifice... Smile and Serve through Art of Living..
