When Life decided to meet Shelly ... 

I met Shelly today with my Art of Living Family... We sang.. We Meditated. We dined together.. We celebrated...

Shelly got placement in one of the best companies in the World.. Yes She is Selected.. There is nothing great about it until you know about her meeting with Life face to face... 

Shelly means Literature... and it means Written Work.... But for her now it is rewritten Work.. A rewritten Life...

November 11th 2015 was Diwali..  For every Diwali she had gone home.. First time she stayed back in the campus last year... But seldom she knew that she had stayed back for a meeting with Life..

Every one know her as a girl who wanted to achieve the best... She wanted to make it to the number one always... She wanted to pursue the research in the worlds best university.

Next day afternoon she went to the Lab.  She never knew that the meeting was scheduled at the College Lab.  Preparations were already done when someone used a wrongly labelled bottle to store the acids.  They would have never thought that they would be wrongly instrumental in arranging this meeting. 

It was a one to one meeting. Shelly was working in the lab alone. She mixed the acid in the wrong bottle to another and moved a little and heard a blast.  When everyone in the next room rushed to the room none knew the meeting with Life had already started...

They rushed her to the hospital...

I heard it is one of the biggest lab accidents in the history of prestigious institutions of India.

Her face had burned. The Left hand became non functional.  Stomach was struck with glass pieces and the intestine got damaged. Both the hands were burned..

Prayers everywhere....

We the Art of Living family held a prayer in the middle of the flood relief works...

After one year when she shares her story that is what i feel...

Miracles happen.. It has happened in her life too..

Abhishek, her friend recollects that how one of the medical staff was mentioning to him that this is a medical miracle.. 

He recollects by the time they took her to Apollo Hospital 4/5 of her blood was out. According to the doctors her BP was so low that a normal person could not have been alive for than 15 min in this stage.  Every one believed she was lucky that ambulance reached hospital on time.  But I believe she is more than lucky, because Life decided not to leave her in between their meeting.  And when Life decides to meet someone it is always for a higher purpose.

Yes It is a Miracle that She is here with us now...  Miracles keep happening in our life and others life around us but we seems to have taken in for granted.

She remembers the days where she could not even move to  her body to the sides for weeks together... But when everyone was feeling so bad about the whole thing she was very confident for some reason.. She was always feeling this is a phase which will go.. This will change... From where did she get this strength ??  She wonders..

Change is only thing which is permanent in this life...Knowing this is Realization..

Now she can use the hands fully ... Her stomach is better now.. Scars are slowly moving away. She is happy that she is crossing over and she got a job in one of the leading companies in the world. She mentioned:

"I was afraid of the Interview.  But I gave the Interview like normally how i would have given.  They did not ask anything about the incident If they would have asked about this i would have broken down..I would like to believe it is a Miracle.. And it is.."

And Miracles do happen if we have the unshaking faith...

She shares that every good thing in her life has happened on Thursday the latest being the Intel Interview and now the offer letter also finally came on a Thursday...

But the Accident too happened on a Thursday... Doubts came and Faith Shaked .. Now it is re-established..  All Good Things happen for her on Thursday and what ever happened on a Thursday is also good.. It has only made her more strong in her life.. 

Oh Shelly ..Taking Positive out of every thing in life ... You Inspire Us... 

While sharing her eyes are filled most of the time but it was weeping with gratitude when she talked about her mother.  It was her Mother who had stood by her for further studies that too so far away from home when most of the family wanted her to get married.  Many times this thought came that Oh God.. Let my family not blame her for what has happened to me... A sincere prayer from her...  

While the mom and daughter shared a silent expression of love in front of us she expressed that how her Mom have left the entire family and been with her for almost an year now. She acknowledges how she used to think that she does not need any ones support.  But she humbly expresses how the last year has moved only with support of her mother whether it is Physical, Mental and Emotional....

It was a sharing with tears all along and most of the times with Gratefulness.  This time her throat choked when she said that she was so grateful to all her College friends, professors, neighbors and everyone who has helped and still helping to cross over..

She continued 

"When I saw the girl whom i used to fight a lot, came and helped me wholeheartedly i was feeling bad how I judged people by their behavior..

It was the biggest ever flood in Chennai and people came to the hospital to help me and every one has done everything for me.. Lucky I am.. I really feel lucky that i have such good people around in my life.." 

Hearing this my heart said to me... To recognize this in Life is a Blessing..

Abhishek remembers how the whole College came together for donating blood and other help and how he had to say "no" to help because it was more than required

Shelly goes for a long pause for the gratefulness to sink in...

The support is still needed.  Now she wonders how she will live without a support here after.. One day will come and i will be completely alright.. she consoles herself.

Ignorance is Bliss many times . In the whole duration when she was in the hospital she never knew that how serious it was.. She told many times to doctor to allow her to go home as she is perfectly alright.. As her Mom and Dad only kept saying everything is alright she understood the seriousness of the accident only when her friend came and explained to her.

Sometime to know the reality is also important in life..

When Life tests our faith it is painful .. More than a month in the hospital and she thought it will all be done and was confident during the period and she remembers something did not make her feel the pain at all (may be the blanket of grace). But again after few days when she had to be admitted for more than 1.5 months the confidence started to shake.. When will this end ?  Will it end at all ?? Many times Life takes us to the brink but does not drown you.  And the Nature will always end it surely with Bliss..  Shelly wonders now how she passed through it all..

Dreams are many .. But she went beyond..  She said:

"I was in a dream and i felt that everything is a play.. that My professor has allowed to play.. (with a innocence of a kid)  I saw that there was a huge banyan tree and different phases of life.. Traditional people, 2020 revolutions.. levels of people..I saw stacks of different people.. under the earth and above the earth etc... I was freely moving here and there... And was seeing the current life also during this where nurses were attending to me..  I saw Shirdhi Sai baba and Gurudev Sri Sri Ravishakarji in my dreams during these days "

I had recently read a book called "Proof of Heaven" by Eben Alexander. It is a scientist's case for the afterlife.  He has experienced similar state what Shelly has gone through. Also in the book called "Laws of the Spirit World" by Khorshed Bhavnagri it is mentioned different levels of spirits and how a highly elevated spirit can move to the levels so freely. I am wonder-stuck what Shelly went through and think that she may not be knowing what they call a "Out of the body" or "After Life" experience.  One thing for sure is that the Gurus she believed on had come to bless her in the most difficult time of the life.

May be Shelly is just in short to understand that this Life itself is big dream. 

Today I Prayed again for her.. Need all of our Prayers too.. 

As there are some minor surgeries pending.. Submit the Thesis.. Start the new Job... Go for the best University in the world for research.. Find someone suitable in Life... And to be in the Path of God for this Life Time..

She needs all our Prayers..

There is spark in her eyes. Enthusiasm in her Spirit... For God is with her...

She says "Whatever i wanted in life i had to struggle.. And anything good has come to me it has come with additional effort. So I see this also as an Ultimate effort in my life to live the life I want... One day will come and i will be completely alright.."

Shelly's undying Enthusiasm has not changed.. Her Determination has only doubled.. Her Spirits have only been more powered with the Meeting with Life she had... Meeting Continues.. Hopefully the difficult part is over.. But this meeting has helped her to know Life better with all Gratitude and Humility with many more lessons to share... 

When I left her house somewhere I wondered how the Almighty has carried her step by step in this whole process whether she knew it or not..

When Life decided to meet Shelly.. It also decided not to leave her...

And i had a learning with my meeting with Shelly...
